Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea #5-Coasters

One more easy and inexpensive Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea-Coasters.

tiles 4″x 4″

card stock

Mod Podge

felt pads

sponge brush

step 1

Step 1:  Find some teacher quotes on the internet. I found mine on Pinterest. I then created a text box in a word processor program on the computer. I made sure to format the size of the text box to match the size of the tile. This was your text will not be bigger than the tile. I played with the fonts until I found something I liked.I then arranged all of the quotes onto one page and printed them on some card stock. I then cut them out.

Step 2:  Spread a layer of Mod Podge on a tile using your sponge brush. Make sure not to make the layer too thick. Then place the quote cut out on the tile. Use a roller or credit card to smooth out any air bubbles that may have formed. Next, place another layer of Mod Podge on top of the paper. Repeat for all the other tiles and allow to completely dry.

step 3

Step 3:  Once the tiles have dried turn each one over and place a felt pad on each corner. This will prevent the coaster from damaging table tops and can easily be moved around.

Step 4:  Lastly, wrap the coasters with some pretty ribbon and give them to a very special teacher.

I hope that you were able to thank a teacher for all that he/she does for your child this week and here on after. Whether it was a personalized gift, flowers, gift card, or a simple “Thank you”, I know that you would made that teacher feel a little more special and appreciated.
