Me, Myself, and I

I have a confession….

I played hookie yesterday……I took the day off from my “jobs” as a teacher and even a Mom……just a couple of hours. And I have to admit…..it was GREAT!!

Every once and again I take a day off work, but usually it is to catch up on house chores (I get double the amount done when I am all alone). But not this time…I took a day off to just do NOTHING. Granted, I didn’t actually do “nothing”…

Once I dropped the kids off to their destinations I made it to my monthly Wal-Mart trip. I usually collect coupons for a month and then make my way to Wal-Mart. I usually come out of there a Happy Camper. This day wasn’t any different….I saved over $35 with coupons!! Without a doubt this made my day even better.

I then made it to Panera Bread for my “all by myself routine breakfast”. This is my go to place for breakfast any morning I am by myself. It’s great….the food, the music, the¬†atmosphere…..just relaxing.

I left breakfast and then made a stop to Michael’s¬†for a few things that I will need for some upcoming projects (more on that later on). While, there I put in my order at Outback for my To-Go lunch. I picked that up and then finally headed home where I JUST SAT ON THE COUCH!!!! I couldn’t believe it! I watched a movie and had my lunch….yes I said” Watched a movie!”

Of course the time came to get my relaxed butt off the couch and go get the boys. My “Me Day” came to an end, but it was soooo worth it.

I have come to realize I NEED these days every once in a while in order to keep my sanity. Things can get pretty hectic around here. Needless to say, I enjoyed my “Me, Myself, and I Time”.

P.S. Thanks Lisa and Erika for helping make the day possible and a little easier for me!
